The Lachenmeyer Arts Center is a Fine Arts facility created by the O.H. & Hattie Mae Lachenmeyer Development Trust to promote the Fine Arts in the Cushing community and surrounding areas. The Arts Center is a place where students, teachers and artists can be brought together for productive hands on experiences in a variety of art areas. The Art Center will provide space and equipment for local art students and artists to meet and work at little or no expense to themselves.

Hours at the Lachenmeyer Arts Center are 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. on Monday, Wednesday & Friday and 6:00 - 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday & Thursday. The Art Center is located in the Cushing Youth and Community Center, 700 South Little. Membership to the CYCC is not required in order to attend classes at the Lachenmeyer Arts Center. Enrollment in adult and student classes may be given in person or over the telephone. Enrollment in a class is complete only after fees have been paid. Fees cover only the cost of materials. Many classes have limited enrollment so early registration is urged, especially in the children's classes.

The Art Resource Library is available to art students and the community. The library includes art books, magazines and supply catalogues relating to art. Current periodicals on file include American Craft, Ceramics Monthly, American Artist, Artist's Magazine, Cross Currents & Art Calendar.
