The Airport, which is one of the best facilities around for cities comparable in size to Cushing, boast a 5,200 - foot runway that can handle planes up to 28,000 pounds. A new Tom Maloney Picnic Area was built, which is dedicated to Cushing's own WWII flying ACE. It also has a Static Display UHIH Huey Helocopter.
The young Eagle Flight Days allows kids many of which have never flown, to fly pilots who volunteer their time, planes, and fuel in order to introduce young people to the wonders of flying.
